Silver jubilee park
The Vivekanand Rajat Jyanti Park in Lohaghat is being established to celebrate the Silver Jubilee (Rajat Jyanti) of the formation of Uttarakhand State. The park aims to provide a serene and eco-friendly space that reflects the spirit of harmony, peace, and progress associated with Uttarakhand’s 25-year journey.
Designed with lush green landscapes, walking tracks, children’s play areas, and seating zones, the park will offer residents and visitors a place for relaxation, recreation, and community engagement. Dedicated to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, it will also serve as a symbol of inspiration, promoting youth development, environmental awareness, and cultural pride.

Eradication of legacy waste
The Nagar Palika Parishad Lohaghat has undertaken an upcoming project aimed at the eradication of legacy waste accumulated over the years in the town. Legacy waste refers to old, untreated garbage that has been deposited in dumpsites and has caused environmental pollution and health hazards. Recognizing the urgent need to address this issue, the municipality plans to scientifically remediate and dispose of the waste in compliance with the Solid Waste Management Rules.
